About us
Opening hours
- Monday – Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- There are different opening hours in the summer holiday and exam period!

Basic info
- We are on the ground floor (Poříčí 5): from the reception turn left, room A 120 at the end of the corridor
- The library collection is focused on Architecture, Art, Urbanism, and Civil Engineering
- The library serves students and employees of the faculty as well as staff from the whole Brno University of Technology
- Here you can find the library catalog, Primo
- Do you have a tip for a book that we should buy? Please fill out our form here. We need at least the title, author, ISBN or link to the book (e.g. from bookstore)
Library collection:

Located in the study rooms (on the ground floor and upstairs) and in the storages

Contains primarily book publications and periodicals

The books in the free selection are arranged according to the principles of the Universal Decimal Classification (UDC); within each class, the order is alphabetical
Especially outside the UDC are placed:
- Catalogues of cultural events and large-format publications
- Architectural personalities
- Encyclopaedias
- Dissertations and habilitations
- Journals
Thank you for being quiet and considerate of other library users:
- Loud using of mobile phones is prohibited: please make phone calls outside the library.
- Eating and drinking are not allowed in the reading room!
- And please, do not give your winter clothes on our couch!

2 WiFi networks are available to BUT students and staff: "vutbrno" (unsecured) and "eduroam"

Each user of the FA BUT has own account for printing, which must be charged before printing: at our faculty, it is not possible to print with cash charged on the ISIC card (as in canteens or other BUT libraries)

Money from the printing account can also be used for printing in the Computer Centre in Building B

You can upload the money for printing at the circulation desk in the library

- please prepare before the first printing on FA BUT the very first password (you received in the e-application / at the study department) – this is necassary for using a faculty profile
Copying

Copies are paid for separately at the circulation desk

Scanning

3 scanners: scanners are available for scanning (scanning on the photocopier is not possible)

2 scanners are upstairs (classical A4, A3)

1 book scaner is near the circulation desk downstairs (max A2), you need your own flash disc

Scanning is free of charge
